Configuring Smart-2SL array on non-Proliant server
I have a Smart-2SL PCI controller from a Proliant 850R server, which is installed in a Compaq Deskpro EN PIII/450+ connected to an array enclosure with 3x WIde Ultra SCSI 9.1GB drives. NT4 has the drivers for the controller installed and running and the array presents itself as a 17GB volume (obviously raid 5). This works fine.
Windows ACU and diagnostics utilities are unable to detect the presence of an array or controller, v1.20 of the ACU can't find one either when booting (using SP6263).
I can put the card back into the 850 and configure it from there. But that is going to be a pain.
Anyone know a way of getting this all working?
