DL380 G3 1 disk failed(RAID 5)

Hi, all

i have dl380 g3 server with 3 disks(72gb 10k)
of RAID5.

one disk failed, i did replacing failed disk
location scsi id 2.
(remove failed disk, and then wait 30seconds, insert new disk)

but, didn't occure rebuilding

I saw both failed disk and new inserted disk
on ACU.

also, replacing disk has different scsi id 6.

I know that dl380 g3 scsi id range is 0~4.

in this case, how can i rebuild raid5 volume

thanks in advance.

Re: DL380 G3 1 disk failed(RAID 5)

With the backplane configured in simplex mode, the SCSI IDs are 0 - 5. ID 6 does not exist on a DL380 G3.

If you have space, try to insert the disk on another bay and see what ID it gets.
