72GB SAS disk with different sizes???
I have here 2 disks (389346-001, 72GB, SAS, DualPort, 10k, 2.5"), both with identical spare partnumber. When plugged into the disk shelf attached to an p400 controller, one has a physical size of 73.4GB and the other has 73.5GB...
Unfortunately we have a productive RAID array which was set up with all 73.5GB drives. Now we got the smaller drives as a replacement and of course that does not work. Of course we can use 146GB or bigger drives but...
Did someone experience the same issue with those "72"GB drives?
Why does HP have identical disks with different sizes?
As a consequence of this, I will have to check all our drives in stock what actual size they have. Or we have to scrap all our 72GB drives since we don't know which is which.
This is a bit frustrating.... any reactions from HP, please?
