BIOS change automation

Hi,

Is there a simple way to automate System BIOS changes.

i have a Intel Pentium 4 box installed with Linux. some times i have to boot from network. i'm looking for a simple way to automate selecting boot device priority in system BIOS.

By BIOS setting automation, do you mean you do not want to into the BIOS to make changes or reboot?

On most systems, you can select the boot device by pressing a certain key when the BIOS splash screen is displayed.

For e.g. F1 , F2 , F12

NVIDIA is coming up with a utility for configure many performance settings including BIOS settings from within windows.

Haven't seen any others resorting to these techniques yet, but we may see a lot of advancements in BIOS soon in the future. :)

Hi,

thanks for the response.

i wanted to use perl or some scripting tool to automate bios settings. using the tool i should be able to change the boot order in the BIOS.
