We have installed RHEL AS 4 Update 5 successfully in DL380 G5 server.
My question is..... is the "ProLiant Support Pack for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (i686) Version 8" is necessary?
RHEL AS 4 Upadate 5 will be having drivers is it?
Please advice me.

In my experience, HP Support will not give you assistance should you need to call them, if you don't have the ProLiant Support Pack installed, so yes it should be installed.
Although, there's usually no technical reason to require it - as the majority of the required drivers will already be in the kernel.
