Logging Users Out
Hi
I have some c8000 workstations with HP-UX 11i.
I wanted to know whether there is any method by which, after a specified idle time the user will get logged out or else if the console is locked , then at least I should get a logout button after a specified period. Pls let me know how to achieve this.
Also I would like to know how to unlock a console if locked by some user. Is there a way to remotely do it ( like in SGI we can kill the xlock) as the admin needs to go to the machine and unlock it using root password.
Thanks

Re: Logging Users Out
I do know abt TMOUT but will it log a user out from the system or it just closes the shell
Also we have some CAE applications which open up thru these shells. In that case how can i obtain the above results.
One more thing is that if a user has locked his console and went out, how can I set some time out after which the user will be logged out and the console login prompt will appear.
