RedHat EL 3 Update 6. "top" command display all threads....

I´ve a Bl20pG3 with RH3EL Update 6...

Top command display all threads of single process.. It´s difficult to view only the parent process for troubleshooting purpouses...

ps -ef | wc --> 246 process

top --> 1456 process ...??????

Any idea....??
