X11 issue - X SAM running, but not X Session
Hi !
I have the following issue on a rx4640 running B.11.23.
When running Exceed X Server on my PC and after exporting my DISPLAY on a connection to the host I can execute SAM and see the graphics displayed on my PC.
If I try instead to bring up an X desktop session (and similarly for DataProtector's xomni) I don't see anything on my PC.
I thought that since xclock and sam were responding all X11 related permission/routing were in place. Am I missing anything ?
Thanks !
Mike

Re: X11 issue - X SAM running, but not X Session
Just some more information.
I saw that /etc/rc.config.d/desktop on this system was set to:
DESKTOP=
DTPRTSVR=
DT_LOCAL_X_START_ALWAYS=
I changed it to look like:
DESKTOP=CDE
DTPRTSVR=
DT_LOCAL_X_START_ALWAYS=
and at least I was able to get the CDE prompt. Still once typed in the credentials CDE hangs on the initial blue screen.
Any idea what could be causing this ?
Thanks !
Mike
