XT595 LCD NOT DISPLAYING AT ALL, VGA PORT IS DISPLAYING PICTURE...HELP!!!
My hp pavilion xt595 somehow is not displaying the picture on the monitor anymore, I did plug it into my old 14" crt and it displayed the desktop fine.
I did the old "check to verify that your not showing only vga port display only" function + f4 and it still is not working.
I checked the connections under the power pcb, pulled the wire out then plugged it back in and still nothing, is the motherboard shot or is it the lcd cable??
No display comes up at all, not even in the faintest, I am perplexed.

Re: XT595 LCD NOT DISPLAYING AT ALL, VGA PORT IS DISPLAYING PICTURE...HELP!!!
If the other monitor works...then it would stand to reason that the other one is bad and needs to be looked at.!

We've been answering a number of troubled XT models lately and I didn't catch the number.
Well, it sounds like one of three things then. The screen activation switch by the hinge is stuck or bad..(if yours uses that). The backlight is out. Or the power inverter has gone bad.? You'll need to have it looked at either way.
