cifslogin on virtual server gives Bad Password
Hi,
We have a HP Unix B.11.23. We execute the following statement :
cifslogin -s wilfp01 login -P password.
When we do this, we get the following error :
SRV: Bad password
The server wilfp01 is a virtual vmware server (windows 2008).
On other "physical" servers, we don't have a problem.
What can be the problem ?
Best regards,
Brecht

Re: cifslogin on virtual server gives Bad Password
To be sure (for us) : Are these physical servers also running the very same version on Windows 2008 ?
And what is your version of the CIFS Client software ?

Re: cifslogin on virtual server gives Bad Password
Hi,
The virtual server is on windows 2008 R2 standard 64 bit. I haven't tried to mount any other servers of that operating system yet (physical or virtual). So I can't say if the problem has something to do with the operating system or the fact that it's a virtual server.
The version of CIFS client is A.02.02.
