error 1 returned

While adding remote printer throgh lpadmin command . The printer is accepting and enabled until we send a print. As soon as we send a print it gets disabled. What could be the reason?

Remote printers setup with lpadmin havew virtually no diagnostics.
The protocol is hopelessly archaic and should only be used when your printer does not support port 9100 printing.

What printer are you trying to add?
