monitoring new server
Can some body advice me to have monitoring of both rx8640 hardware and 11.31 OS, through SMNP traps.

The SNMP software that come with the HP-UX server are agents only that collect server data and can send it out using traps.
You need to have a monitoring system on another server that can receive these traps? These monitoring systems are large and complicated environments that can collect data from many servers and record statistics over time about server performance and capacity. If you have such a monitoring system, you need to get the trap information from it and set it up on the rx8640 server.
