dear gurus,
i am new to linux & also for installing linux in intel platforms.
smartstart cd document says that it supports sles (suse linux) 10, 11 etc. but i am unable to choose or even see the O.Ss other than windows.
already i downloaded
1.HP smartstart 8.5,
2.firmware 9 dvd &
3.poliant support pack for suse linux 10.
i want to install suse SLES 10 sp3- 64bit(i have the media & support subscription with novell) with the latest drivers from HP. how to proceed?
please help.

Solution
Shalom,
Smart start, no longer has a guided installation mode for Linux where you boot off the smart start cd and then proceed with the Linux install.
Prior to doing the Linux install, you should still boot smart start, update bios/firmware and such and then boot the OS of your choice.
PSP normally takes between 1-6 months after an OS major update is released to fully support the OS.

i have installed suse 10 sp3 as u mentioned. thanks again.
do i have to install PSP for suse 10, is that needed?
what is the purpose of PSP when i have all the drivers & firmware from smartstart & firmware CDs.
