MUX for X.25 Network Interface Cards

Dear All,

I have a problem in searching for a MUX that supports X.25 cards (EISA-PSI 2-ports). What I would like to do is that I have two x.25 cards on two machines in High Availability Architecture, thus both of them sharing one floating address. The router could not support two physical lines with the same address.

I wish someone woould provide the part number of the MUX to solve this problem. Greatly appreciated your kind attention and hope to hear from anyone as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Best regards;
Kwan.

Re: MUX for X.25 Network Interface Cards

Kwan, If I understand correctly what you are doing, only one X.25 card will have active the "floating" IP address at any one time. Each X.25 card may have a unique IP address, and MC-Service Guard will assign the "floating" address to only ONE X.25 card at any one time. So at any one time, one X.25 card will have 2 IP addresses, and the other one IP address. If this is the case, then you don't need a MUX.
If you can focus your eyes far and straight enough ahead of yourself, you can see the back of your head.
