for great laughs , enter J3591A where it says "enter product name & number" after hitting drivers & software from the main HP screen...
Now that I'm done laughing, can someone *please* post where the firmware updates are for the secure web console? I give up after an hour of searching, and I'm an HPUX admin!

Re: secure web console firmware location?
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/hw/swc/secureweb/firmware_update.html
Here's how I got to it;
www.docs.hp.com
click browse by topic
systems hardware
secure web console
click html link for swc
click the swc button
This is info for the swc, one link has f/w updates (url above) with instructions and the ftp where to download.
Hope this helps

Re: secure web console firmware location?
Use the HP FTP site (192.151.11.37) and path (/dist/webconsole/XX.X) to transfer the following files to your local FTP server in binary mode:
APPLICATION.ROM
BOOTSTRAP.ROM
RESOURCES.ROM
upgrade.cnf
How do you know what XX.X is? Does anyone have a valid/recent one > 1.7?
Thanks for your help!

SolutionI'm not sure where (or if) earlier releases of the firmware are available online. What version is it at now? The A2.0 dir contains the latest version. Maybe the version/bug history could also help.

Re: secure web console firmware location?
I can see version A2.0 over there, so this should be newer than 1.7. the process is,
ftp docs.hp.com
username : anonymous
password : your_email_add
cd /dist/webconsole/A2.0
bin
download the files.
Hope this helps.

Re: secure web console firmware location?
It's their lame excuse for a "search engine", if you can call it that.
I think you should have gone for this one:
hp jetdirect ex plus print server J2591a
live free or die

Re: secure web console firmware location?
are we going to get censored for this kind of blasphemy?
I love HP's hardware and HPUX to death, but the usability/searchability & speed of the very technical parts of the site need major work...

Re: secure web console firmware location?
results and missing documents before I finally found the Documentation.
Th FTP site has the foolowing README.txt:
---------------------------------------------
THIS SITE DOES NOT PROVIDE THE LATEST FIRMWARE DOWNLOADS!
This webconsole FTP site at docs.hp.com (/dist/webconsole/ at 192.6.165.37)
will continue to provide version A2.0 until it is no longer needed.
In the future, the latest webconsole firmware will always be available through
IT Resource Center patch hub at: http://www.itrc.hp.com
---------------------------------------------
And of course, the firmware is nowhere to be
found on the itrc site.
