Patchs: Support Plus September 2003
Problem:
When disconnect electric the time is stop.
Sample: I shutdown, power off and disconnect the server. When connect server a start O.S the time is change, many minutes or hours.

HP-9000 clocks are noteworthy for not being accurate.
You probably have a dead or weak clock battery.
Best course of action is to set up ntp.conf and point to a local or Internet time source, then the time will always be right.

Could you check your firmware revision,
Patch Name: PF_CKEYMAT0601
Patch Description: HP rp7405/rp7410/rp8400/Server Expansion Unit Firmware 6.1

When reading the Real-Time-Clock, the values returned occasionally may be incorrect. A new method is used to read the RTC to correct the erroneous returns.
