dmesg로그 분석좀 부탁합니다..

HP-UX 11.0 N4000 입니다...



dmesg에 아래와 같은 내용이 나오는데요....어떻게 조치를 해야죠?

I/O device로부터 온 메세지이지만 실제 I/O card의 문제인지, 아님 I/O device의 문제인지는 정확하게 알 수 없지만, 관련 패치정도로 해결하면 될 것 같습니다...

/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log나 I/O device정보를 올리시면 좀 더 자세한 답변도 해 드릴 수 있으리라 생각되네요^^

에러 메세지를 보니까 H/W적으로 문제가 있어보입니다. 너무 많은 에러가 발생하다 보니 diagnostic logging하는데 있어서 에러가 났다는 메세지인것 같습니다.



/var/opt/resmon/log/event.log 이 로그 파일을 보시고 정확히 어느 하드웨어에서 문제가 있는지 확인해보십시오..



그리고 문제가 있는 하드웨어를 찾으셨다면 엔지니어 call 하시는게 좋을것 같습니다.

PROBLEM

The diagnostic logging facility has started receiving excessive errors from the

I/O subsystem. For example:

Event 17



Severity: Information

Description: The Fibre Channel Driver received an ERQ frozen interrupt from

the adapter

Cause: The Tachyon TL adapter generated an interrupt indicating that the ERQ

has been frozen. This is caused by the driver requesting the Tachyon TL chip

to freeze the ERQ.

Action: No action is required. Informative message. The driver will recover

from this condition.



Event 24



Severity: Information

Description: The Fibre Channel Driver received a FCP assists completion message

Cause: The Tachyon TL adapter generated an interrupt indicating that the FCP

Assists have been frozen. This is caused by the driver requesting the Tachyon

TL chip to freeze the FCP Assists.

Action: No action required. Informative message. The driver will recover

from this condition.



What can be done to fix this problem?

RESOLUTION



While the driver will recover from this condition, the ERQ freeze and

assists freeze indicate that there is either an authentication issue

after a link up or IO requests are taking too long and the driver is

trying to abort them.

This IO request delay can indicate a Fibre Channel hardware problem.



Replacing a defective LTO disk drive was the solution in this case, after

verifying that STM/EMS is as current as possible, and the latest Fibre Channel

Driver patches were applied.



The latest fibre driver / patches used were:



PHSS_26798 s700_800 11.00 Tachyon TL Fibre Channel Driver - version FC-TACHYON-

TL B.11.00.11



PHKL_28004 s700_800 11.00 Fibre Channel Mass Storage Driver Patch



and any dependent patches included as well.



NOTE: These patches may be replaced or superceded with newer versions.
