rx2660 raid 추가 질문입니다.

rx2660 모델입니다. controller 는 기본 SAS controller 입니다.

raid volume 추가를 위해 300G 2개를 장착 후 sasmgr 를 통해 추가 구성을 하면 아래와 같은 에러가 발생합니다.

test:[/] sasmgr add -D /dev/sasd1 -q raid -q level=1 -q enc_bay=1:1,1:2

WARNING: If the disks are of different size,

then the remaining disk space of the larger disk

will be wasted and the volume cannot be expanded.

WARNING: Make sure that the disks are not being

used for BOOT, SWAP, DUMP, LVM, VxVM or any other

purpose.

This operation will overwrite the data on the disks.

ERROR: Unable to add a RAID volume: Bad address

그 후 disk 1번 bay 에 있는 것이 ioscan 으로 보면 NO_HW 상태로 인식이 안됩니다.

sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd1 -q phy=all 로 보면 해당 disk 는 online 상태입니다.

online 상에서 add를 해야만 하는 상황이라..

online 중에 300GB disk 2ea는 어떻게 add on 하셨는지요??

disk 1번 bay 에 있는 디스크가 제대로 인식이 되지 않은듯 합니다.

# ioscan -fnC disk 해보시구요

disk 가 CLAIMED가 되었는지 확인이 되어야 될듯합니다.

처음에 disk add 후에 디스크 두개는 정상적으로 인식 했었습니다.

ioscan 이나

sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd1 -q raid

sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd1 -q lun=all

위 명령 실행시 모두 정상적으로 보였었습니다.

그런데 sasmgr 로 raid add 명령 실패 후 disk 하나가

ioscan 시 NO_HW 로 보이고,

sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd1 -q raid

sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd1 -q lun=all

위 두개 명령 실행시에도 1번 디스크가 보이지 않습니다.

단,

sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd1 -q phy=all

명령으로 디스크를 보면

link나 health 상태가 up 입니다.

혹시 지금 사용하고 있는 RAID VOLUME이 총몇개인지 궁금합니다.

기본 SAS Controller는 2개이상을 지원하지 않습니다.

제생각에는 2개이상의 RAID Volume을 구성하려고 하는것이 아닌지요..

않될 이유가 없는데 이상하네요~~

PS) 문제가 있는 DISK는 아니겠죠

raid volume  은 현재는 OS 영역 1개만 사용중 입니다.

문제 있는 disk 도 아니구요....

해결책이 안보이네요.....

RC에서도 별 다른 답변도 없네요...

필드 엔지니어 분들 중 이런일 겪었거나

앞으로 겪으실지 모를텐데요....

결국 새 disk 가져다 efi 에서 구성해야 할 것 같습니다.
