Re: Sea command in L1000 server

Dear Yogi
very thanks for response.
The P2 is my A6795A Fubre HBA card . I just found by using io command.

I am connecting external DLT8000 on LAN/SCSI card it is not detecting. The term power is on on SCSI card.I tried with connecting external LTO2 also but failed(not detected by server).

Thanks & Regds

Hi Ranveer,

Did you install also a terminator on your DLT or LTO devices?

Re: Sea command in L1000 server

What OS revision are you running?

On 10.20, you would need to have the stape/tape2 cumulative patch of PHKL_20529 or later for a DLT8000 to work on L1000.

Re: Sea command in L1000 server

hi,

is the tape drive definatly an SE/LVD device?
you cannot use a FWD drive on it.
the scsi port on the core io card is se/lvd on the L1000.

Also where is it not detected? at pdc?

if so this is normal as dlt drives are not supported as boot devices so are not listed.

boot into Hpux and check its seen here with ioscan. You will probably find it is.

Re: Sea command in L1000 server

How are you determining it is "not detected by server"?

Are you just running an SEA or are you checking with ioscan with the OS up?
