Re: fcmsutil reports massive errors
Hi Sandman,
here the requested output:
servora:/# ioscan -funC disk -H 0/4/1/0
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
=========================================================================
disk 6 0/4/1/0.97.4.19.0.0.0 sdisk NO_HW DEVICE DGC CX300WDR10
/dev/dsk/c11t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c11t0d0
disk 5 0/4/1/0.97.5.19.0.0.0 sdisk NO_HW DEVICE DGC CX300WDR10
/dev/dsk/c13t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c13t0d0
I dont think the cables are a problem. We replaced the cable from server to swtich with a known good one. Also the cables from switch to SAN seem to be fine as the other servers using this connection report no problem.
Kind regards
Stefan

Re: fcmsutil reports massive errors
Hi everybody,
thanks for all your support. In the meantime i got the information that the GBIC on this card is not changeable. So i have to replace the whole FC card and therefore down the server.
On the one hand i am disappointed that i have to down the server only because of a defect GBIC. Also that a relative cheap GBIC fores me to change a relative expensive FC card only because it is not changeable.
On the other hand im on the save side by replacing the whole card and not just one part of it. Who can tell if the partly renewed card would work for long.
Thanks and kind regards
Stefan
BTW: Micheal Steel, congratulations to your new hat!
