Re: system led red on a rp3440

Hi,
Is the server up or not ? One reason for a red LED is that the system is shut down.

Re: system led red on a rp3440

Hi,

I guess the System LED is blinking which indicates a "fault" on account of fatal hardware error detection and a high alert is
generated.

What's the pattern of those 4 diagnostice LEDs ? If they are OFF , then you have MP/iLO installed.Connect to MP either through telnet or serial port and logon using admin account.
Check for console log using MP -> CL
Check the system log MP -> SL -> E
Take a note of those log events.

Re: system led red on a rp3440

Hi,

Login to MP and view the chassis log. Check in the syslog and event log for any possible errors too. Did you shutdown on rebooted the system in recent past. If so you can log in to the MP and clear the logs.
