HP Blades - FC performance monitoring: OA or VC ?
Hi all,
I am quite new in the HP Blades world.
I was given a task to monitor FC performance on HP Blades (C7000) using SNMP. I am not sure if I should use SNMP on OA or VC ? Which of these two let me dig into FC workload details ?

The VC, LOM:b. Have you tried gathering the data from the server itself?

Re: HP Blades - FC performance monitoring: OA or VC ?
I haven't since I am not really aware which device/layer should I pull data from. After reading your mail it seems that I can pull data from both VC and Blades ? What is a difference (in the data) between them ? Is the data redundant ?
And if I use VC which MIB should I use ?

Re: HP Blades - FC performance monitoring: OA or VC ?
I believe the mibs are vc-domain-mib and vc-module-mib.
I know with the 3.7 firmware you can chart the LOM:b statistics.

Re: HP Blades - FC performance monitoring: OA or VC ?
But we need to have a history even a few months back. Does the new software let us do that ?

Re: HP Blades - FC performance monitoring: OA or VC ?
No it doesn't, you would need to script a daily export of the statitics using VCSU.
