Brocade Blade Switch Firmware Update
Hi all,
I have a couple of Brocade 4/24 switches in a C7000 chassis which are running v5.05 of the Firmware. I have a couple of questions:
(1) can I jump straight from 5.05 to v6.1.2b which is the earliest release available for download (apart from the version i have)
(2) If I am supposed to be able to go straight to that version, why when I try to download the firmware from my FTP Server I get the following error:
"Could not read the Pfile headr.
Firmwaredownload failed. (0x12) Cannot access package list (.plist) file."
the corresponding error on the FTP server is
000110)13/08/2012 07:17:53 - fcswitch (172.19.5.102)> 250 CWD successful. "/SWBD43" is current directory.

(000110)13/08/2012 07:17:53 - fcswitch (172.19.5.102)> disconnected.
Any help/input greatly appreciated.

Re: Brocade Blade Switch Firmware Update
You need to update step by step, see also
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL22074/co-86832-4/FOS-Drawer_Statement.htm
(don't include "/SWBD43" in the path)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Brocade Blade Switch Firmware Update
Hi
from version 5.05 you will have to upgrade to 5.2.X and then 5.3.X
then 6.0.X the 6,1.X then 6.2.2f which is the latest version for this switch
