My question is this some thing like port offline/online error meggase on OLD SAN switches ?
And I have found some information from SAW related to this error:
http://saw.cce.hp.com/km/saw/view.do?docId=emr_na-c00349852
Melow is the error message i am getting from my monitoring tool:

Re: Brocade SAN switch all series
An older SPOCK document I found on my disk says
firmware version 5.3.2c (Oct ├в 09)(recommended) for this model.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Brocade SAN switch all series
(Going to a 4.x version before the 5.x)
also, it may not be the switch port that's the problem. Maybe it's the device connected to the port, the interface module, or even a loose patch fibre somewhere?
I would have checked the times up against the logs on the attached device.

Re: Brocade SAN switch all series
your switch is a Brocade 3800. You cannot use FOS 4.x or higher. The latest firmware for this switch is 3.2.1c

Re: Brocade SAN switch all series
One more query !
In brocade SAN switch
Switch port 21 changed state to 2 --> port is offline
Switch port 21 changed state to 1 --> port is online
I want tto receive an alert for port offline not for port online(changed state to 1)
What configuration I need to change ?
