EVA3k support for Windows 2008 64 bits

Hi,

Does EVA3000 support Windows 2008 64 bits running in Active/Passive mode?, if so could you please refer me to the requirements (VCS versions,...), constraints ...

Constraints seems to be in what version of CV you are running.

Windows 2008 is NOT supported on VCS 3.xxx firmware, only on VCS 4.xxx (Active/Active).

You need Command View 7.0.1 or newer to manage VCS 4100.

Hi,

Firmware level and CV versions are specified above.

When you are adding host to EVA, you should select Windows 2008 instead of microsoft windows.

If its not listed in the dropdown menu, select custom -> then give the proper hexcode.

Thank you very much for your replies. One last thing, using the SPOCK tool I have not seen any information saying that Active/Passive mode is not supported under W2008.

Thank you for your suggestions. The Spock tool has been very useful. Now I have got the requirements to use a W2K8 File Server Cluster connected to an EVA3K.
