HBA 81E 8Gbs W2K8 R2 (Invalid ordered set & enc_out errors)
Note: Both HBA have the same behaviour
Here's my san configuration
DL380 (W2K8 R2 SP2) Dual HBA E81_AJ762A_ with the latest firmware and drivers
Dual Fabric using 2x HP SW DC Switches (6.2.2)
What was done to currently?
FC Cable between the switches and server have been verified with a FC analyzer and in spec.
Used another port and SFP on the switch (no change)
Lock down the switch and HBA speed to 8Gbs (no change)
Any solution, or where can I go from here?

check HP SPOCK database if your configuration is supported, looks pretty strange, contact HP support.

Re: HBA 81E 8Gbs W2K8 R2 (Invalid ordered set & enc_out errors)
There is an issue with the 8GB HBA's. Go to the Microsoft web site and look for the hotfix associated with KB945119. Download and install it and see if this fixes the problem. This is a problem with the 81E and 81/41B (HP Branded Brocade HBA) because they all use the 8GB HBA driver.
If that still doesn't work let us know.

Re: HBA 81E 8Gbs W2K8 R2 (Invalid ordered set & enc_out errors)
I tried to install this update but it is not supported by W2K8 and R2.
Note: it is working for W2K3
On the Emulex web site they do mention that the patch is good for W2K8 R2 but they will have to review their release note.
On the Microsoft web site there is no mention that this update is ok for 2008. (W2K3 ok)
Any other suggestion
Thanks for the reply, it is very appreciated
