IP address change and ramifications?

I need to change the particular subnet addressing I'm using for my SAN network. I know I can easily change the nodes IP addresses, but what will I need to do on my host servers beside change the target IP address in my iSCSI configuration to that of the new cluster IP after I change the NIC's addressing to that same subnet?

Re: IP address change and ramifications?

1. Change the discovery IP in all servers accessing the cluster, then down them all. 2. Change the IP's on each of the nodes, including the VIP.
3 Down the cluster, bring it up. Wait for it to get back into sync.
4. Bring back up all servers.

The above worked for me when moving buildings and subnets.

I'll give it a try this weekend and post back the results.

Re: IP address change and ramifications?

Thanks Bryan... that pretty much worked for me as well. I don't even think I had to redo any connections... once I changed IP addressing on the nodes and the VIP, i changed the targets on the servers and clicked connect and boom, life was good.
Thanks for the insight.
