StorageWorks Switch CPU utlization

Is there a way either in the GUI or the command line that I can monitor CPU usage on StorageWorks switches? I have both the 4/64 and the MPR 400. Both have the same OS so I'd assume the methods would be the same.

Thanks in advance...

You can use webtools, If you have storage essentials in place you can check.

Re: StorageWorks Switch CPU utlization

I looked in Web Tools under performance but the utilization percentage looks like I/O throughput. Maybe I'm missing something. I'll try the SAN Health tool. I was hoping there was an easy command line option such as memshow for memory.

Thanks,

Kevin,

I just checked my last SAN Health report and yes it provides some information on av. CPU load in the "Environmental section" of the individual switch details section.

Do you suspect that you have switch CPU performance bottlenecks?? I have never come across one....

Re: StorageWorks Switch CPU utlization

Saket,
I don't currently have CPU issues that I'm aware of but I wanted to create some processes/reports to make sure I don't. I just wish there was a quick way to pull the CPU information. Running the SAN Health app seems like a hassle just to get quick information.

Thanks,
Kevin
