Hi all
My c7000 came with a 2 Brocade 4/24 san switches. How does this differ from the VC-Fc modules ? Do I need the VC-Fc modules if I want to connect the blade servers to a MSA2312fc ?

Solution
You can use the embedded Brocade switches and directly connect the MSA2312fc.
The VC-FC modules cannot work as a Fibre Channel switch. That means, if you use VC, you also need external FC switches where you can connect the VC-FC modules and the MSA2312fc to.

Re: c7000 Brocade 4/24 SAN switch
How will I know which SAN switch port is being used for which blade ?
I know that with the VC-Fc module, many blades would have been able to use a single SAN switch port.

Re: c7000 Brocade 4/24 SAN switch
It is described in the product documentation and you can even view it in the OA. Select a blade and then there is a tab (I don't recall the name right now) from where you can see all LAN/FC mappings.
