Hi!
We are currently on FOS 8.0.2f on our SN3000B switches and we want to upgrade to FOS 8.2.2d.
I've sent support request to HPE support in my country and they have responded that proper upgrade path should be: v8.0.2f --> 8.1.2a -> v8.2.2d. Since v8.1.2a is not available on Broadcom Assist Portal anymore, I asked them to share 8.1.2a version but without luck. There's silence from support side, no answear, nothing.
BUT, as I see on "Brocade Software Release Support and Posting Matrices v2.1" and "Brocade Fabric OS 8.2.2d Release Notes" I shoud be able to non disruptive upgrade from FOS 8.0.2f to 8.1.2k and then to 8.2.2d... Am I right, or not?

SolutionHello Darek,
I apologise for the support team's miss to answer your question regarding the version 8.1.2a.
The correct upgrade path is as below:
8.0.2f -->8.1.2k -->8.2.2d/8.2.3
Regards,
Veeyaarvi

Re: SN3000B FOS upgrade path question
Hello!
My customer also have HPE SN3000B / Brocade 6505 FC Switches and have fallen behind in OS version.
They are currently running on OS 7.4.1c
May I ask the correct path to upgrade from their current OS 7.4.1c to 8.2.3a1 ?
From what I can tell it's not possible without disruption...loosing one path during the upgrade ?
7.4.1c->8.0 - Disruptive
8.0->8.2.3a1 - Non Disruptive
Or, can you recommend a different path or better target version ?

Re: SN3000B FOS upgrade path question
Hi,
you can find the Upgrade Path Information in this Document:
Brocade┬о Fabric OS┬о Software Upgrade User Guide, 8.2.x
7.4x. > 8.0.x > 8.1.x > 8.2.x is a Non-Disruptive Path
