Lefthand P4300 - MPIO with Hyper-V CSV - fail over problem
Hello,
i have that configuration:
Two P4300 single cluster with two nic 10gb ALB nw 10.0.64.0.
Two server proliant dl380g7 with two nic 10gb for san isci 10.0.64.0 e four nic 1gb for network public 10.0.0.0 and private of windows 2008 R2 Hyperv cluster CSV.
I have installed MPIO and HP LeftHand MPIO.
In the HyperV environment the volume are configured CSV.
I have done these steps for fail over tests
1)Unplug one nic 10gbit of dl385, the volume csv goes offline e hyperv doesn't switch to second nic. Hyperv waiting the first nic come up and service remain offline.
2)Unplug all the 10gbit of one dl385 and hyperv doesn't switch to second server hyperv and the service doesn't come up and remaining offline.
Why HyperV CSV doesn't switch when one or all nic is unplugged for simulate a failing test?
It's possible to have correct best practice how to configure HyperV CSV with P4300.
It's possible to have official checklist HP or Microsoft for testing Hyperv CSV.
Thanks
Mario
