OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
After installing the new InsightDiag 9.50.1009.0 (cp020834) it represent itself as 9.5.0.1009 in the VCA Installed Version column (standard W2K8R2 on a DL380pGen8)
Because of that the VCA thinks it is under level, and overall installation becomes yellow instead of green.
Force again the installation of cp020834 doesn't solve, it tells that its new installation is correct ..
Is there a solution for this failure ?

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
I am having the same issue with the Online Insight Diag version. In addition, the firmware for the "Online ROM Flash Component for Windows - HP ProLiant DL380 G6 (P62) Servers (English (US))" is having the same exact problem. The server reports "07/02/2013" while the service pack (2013.09.0) reports "2013.07.02" so the two do not match up and reports the server as needing updates.
Thanks
Nelson

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 and Online ROM Cosmetic Failure
Hi
We're facing the exact same issue. Our server have all an "Orange" software status just because a misunderstanding of the build number or the date format.
Please HP fix-it ASAP or give us a workaround
Regards
Patrick

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
Hi Jim,
I test with a DL380 G6, PSP 9.10 and HP Version Control Agent for Windows x64 version 7.1.0.3
--> Online Insight Diagnotics was on version 9.0.1.4458 --> upgrade to version 9.5.0.1009
--> latest version is 9.50.1009.0 --> same issue
latest version of VCA we use is 7.2.0.0 (PSP 9.40 /SPP 2013.09)
regards
/Danny

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
is it in VCA, or HPSUM?
if VCA, can you share the hw_items.xml data from c:\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\vcagent\cache folder?

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
In the VCA it says: InstalledVersion:9.5.0.1009.
In c:\hp\hpsmh\data\cgi-bin\vcagent\cache\hpswitem.xml it says: <InstallerVer>9.5.0.1009
But in fact Version 9.50.1009.0 is installed, as already mentioned.
Because of that the VCRM thinks thats its outdated and the SW column returned to be yellow.
All the drivers and firmware is from SPP2013.09, thus the newest.

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
Just to say something, didn't realize this post didn't get updated... but it was identified and is indeed related to the version number. It has been resolved in an upcoming release. I don't have the specifics yet, but once I do I'll let y'all know if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
We found a workaround.
In repository manager (C:\repository), you have to pick out the .mnf file of the Insight Diagnostic CP-File.
e.g.:
HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition for Windows x64 Editions
= cp020834.exe
use and edit cp020834.mnf
You will found two entries with "<version value="9.50.1009.0" ". Change this entry to "9.5.0.1009" and everything is green after reboot of the repository manager.

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
In addition to modifying cp020834.mnf as mentioned in the previous post, also make the same change to cp020835.mnf.

Re: OnLine Insight Diag 9.50.1009.0 Cosmetic Failure
Hello everyone,
I simply wish to point out to you all that there is now available a new update installer which will address this matter completely. Essentially the installer is for a new version of this HP Insight Diagnostics Online Edition for Windows x64 Editions - Version 9.64.1262.0. The installer pack reference is cp022084.exe. Check out.
