Ignite - Booting from tape
HI
From HP's documentation, it looks like not every integrity server supports booting from tape and it needs a 2 step process.
Boot from the media and then use the tape.
Is there any way of finding out whether the server ( ia64 hp server rx2620) supports direct tape boot or not?
Unfortunately, I cant test it at the moment. But would like to know if there is any other way to find out
Thanks
V

Re: Ignite - Booting from tape
The rx2620 supports boot from tape with firmware 4.05 or later.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Open "Ignite-UX Installation Booting" near the bottom. Review the tables on pages 11 and 12.
