WEB console access on rx2600
I found EL'help like this "The MP can be set to allow telnet access, web access or both."
I don't understand.
I could have configured the MP's ip and enabled it's access permission, thoughout,
I can't see useful thing from IE.
When typing SR in MP command line, see this:
=====================
Firmware revision report
MP FW : E.02.07
BMC FW : 01.50
EFI FW : 01.22
System FW : 02.01
======================
Its version is too lower?
I have no idea and can not find helpful document.
Anyone can do me a favor??
All the best.
Leo

As for the troubleshooting, I would suggest you will ping your MP IP lan port first to see if it responds correctly. Secondly, you also can access the MP LAN console with the telnet. It appears you are using the IE browser for access like http://xx.xxx.xxx.xxx. Try telnet://xx.xxx.xxx.xxx and you can telnet in to the MP LAN console. Also you may need to update the IE version. My IE is 6.0 and it works with no problem.
Lastly, if the telnet does not work correctly, try to use the cross over LAN cable and connect your PC to the MP LAN port directly, then access the MP LAN. If you have configured the MP LAN IP and have it enabled, it should work. In this case, it is better you chnage the gateway address of the MP LAN port to your MP LAN IP address temporariry for test.
Note: If you connect the MP LAN port to some switch, it may cause your problem and MP LAN speed may not be negotiated correctly. In this case, update yoyr MP firmware to E.02.29 first, then set the switch lan port speed to 10Mbps/fix. A few switch may not be able to negotiate the lan speed with the MP LAN port correctly.
Hope this help.

Re: WEB console access on rx2600
Look this.
--------------------------------------------
MP> ls
LS
LAN configuration:
. MAC Address : 0x00306e39eda7
. IP address : 210.76.128.38
. MP Host Name : xkbqd06mp
. Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
. Gateway address : 210.76.128.2
. Link state : Auto Negotiate
. Web Console Port Number : 2023
LAN status: UP and RUNNING
MP Host Name: xkbqd06mp
---------------------------------------------
In fact, I can telnet this MP card, only web access is not availble.
Ought I to change the port to 80? or change ├в Link state├в

Re: WEB console access on rx2600
Thanks a lot.
Firstly, Sorry for give you so less points, which dismatch help given to me, since this my second post in the forum and I don't konw how to distribute points. :-)
Following your advice, I consulted HP engineer and he suggest not upgrading my MP'firewre, besides he can't answer my question compellently.
I know old MP card need a little facility, WEB console box, to implement web access.
Do I need this box?
"MP E 02.29" upgrading notice say, I need to upgrade to 02.10 and next 02.26.
I can't find "MP E 02.10" & "MP E 02.26" in
http://www1.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/search.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|&pageContextName=firmware:
What should I do?
