could any one help how can I install windows 2003 64 bit on BL860c box?

This should be straight forward - but you need the **ia64** version of windows!!

x86 or x64 will NOT work!

I have Microsoft Windows Server3003 Enterprise Edition for 64-bit Itanium based systems, but I am not able to boot direct from the CD.

Please advice

What is the meaning of "not able to boot"?
What do you get? Where are you booting from?

After booting from Smart Setup CD, its ask me to insert windows 2003 CD, then I got the following error direct:


INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 4.

Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.

Yazan,

do you know if the W2K3 EE install cd has SP2 slipstreamed (included in the install binaries ?).

W2K3 SP1 is a minimum for every IA64 based system with cdrom/dvdrom that is connected internally via an USB-to-IDE converter, see also
