rx4610 Itanium Server Power Failure LED

I have a rx4610 Itanium Server which suffered a power failure. Now, when I try to power it on, an LED on the front panel lights up and the system beeps, then it powers back off again. In other words, I can't get it to power back up. I assume there's a switch I need to flip, or something analagous, to clear this and allow it to power back up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Gunther,

I cannot answer this particular question, but I found a quite good troubleshooting section in the User Guide, that might help You. You will find it at

Sounds like a power supply has failed. You'll need to get it repaired. It may also be a short in the processor board or I/O boards. In all cases, there is no 'reset' button...it is a permanent failure and must be repaired.

Turns out, the DC-DC converter has failed. Not sure how this could have happened, but it looks to be the case.
