rx8640 - System Firmware

Hello,

our customer has an rx860 server with 2 x HPUX partitions (11i v2) , each one assigned to one cell board.
He requested to upgrade the system firmware from current release 3.0 to release 4.2.
Can we go with the upgrade directly from 3.0 to 4.2 or we should upgrade to
3.1 then 4.0 then 4.1 and to 4.2.

Please advise.

There is no where i have observed about the Step by step upgrade between each revision.

But 3.0 is release before year 2007 and 4.2 of October 2010.

I hope it is recommended to have a latest patch level on HPUX system.

You can go directly from 3.0 to 4.2.
