Re: Extend PV On Single VDISK From EVA
from the vgdisplay output:
Free PE 32735
instead of specifying megabytes, you can call the lvextend with this parameter, by using "-l" (that's little eLL) instead of "-L"
# lvextend -l 32735 /dev/vgDONE/DONE
PS. I know that no points can be assigned for this. who cares?

Re: Extend PV On Single VDISK From EVA
Hi,
Viktor
> # lvextend -l 32735 /dev/vgDONE/DONE
I respectfully disagree with this. Lvextend on HPUX with -L or -l at the end of the day gives the_complete_size and not_the_extended size {as you have considered the "free PE"}. This command would yield an LV of size around 32735*32 which is way less than 2TB. LVM_does_care and will complain with an error saying lvextend: "Logical extent number" is not bigger than current setting. Again with all due respect. Well my math might not be that good but I can tell the difference between 1TB and 2TB. :)

Re: Extend PV On Single VDISK From EVA
Ismail,
oops, you are right, I just wanted to say that with the -l switch you can specify the size as extents and not as megabytes. But alas I forgot to add the number of free PEs to the currently allocated PEs. Sorry for my mistake.
Regards,
Viktor
