How to create RAID 5 with mirror in volume Manager

Hi All,

Please some one help to crate RAID5 volume with mirror in Volume manager command line.

Best practice in command line.

Which volume manager? LVM or Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM)?

If you are talking about LVM, then it is not possible. LVM cannot create a RAID 5 volume. It can mirror, but you have to have the option MirrorDisk/UX package. To create a mirror, you use the '-m' option to lvcreate or lvextend (see the man page for more details).

If you are talking about VxVM, I don't know. Hopefully someone else does.
