Re: rdsk

because you are dealing with a device at the character (bit) level, there is no buffering or "blocking" to use the block device

I am getting the impression you are trying to study for an exam and are posting sample questions
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

here-here!!!

@ Dipenshvasudevan: Those manpages are your friend together with a vast array of documentation on the HP website:

http://docs.hp.com/index.html

In fact, those manpages live there as well as on your server:

Dipesh,

well, you can manual to clear out your doubts. asking such sample question here is not the purpose of this forum. People are not here to teach.

But i appreciate your curiousity of learning and clearing doubts. so, do man or search on internet for clearing your doubts.

And if you ever have to create/edit man pages, there is "man 5 man".
(Which I found out years too late.)
