Expect for HPUX 11.00

Hello,

I'm trying to change an FTP script running on an old server that is running HPUX B.11.00. It was straight FTP but we now have to route it through an FTP proxy server. The only way that I believe I can do this is using expect.

Does anyone know if I can install expect 5.43 for 11.11 on 11.00 OS? I could not find a version of expect for 11.00.

Or if there's another way to get through an FTP Proxy server via a shell script, that would address this issue as well.

This is an interim process but we need this up and running for about 2-3 months.

Shalom Kevin,

Try the tarball on the HP porting and archive center.

So long as it does not use PA-RISC 2.x compiled binaries there is some chance it will work.

Thanks... will try it out. Ran into space issues on that little server :-) Need to fix that on Monday and try again.
