How to set different language for different users

Hi,

I want to set diff language for different users in one of our HPUX server.I set LANG=fr_FR.iso88591 in /user/homedirectory/.dtprofile but its not change the user language.

could you please help me on this.

If you are setting ~/.dtprofile, you may have to make sure you export LANG and make sure that file is sourced. If you want ~/.profile sourced:

The user can set a language for himself/herself using the options in the CDE login dialog.

The system will automatically remember the language choice: on subsequent logins, once the username has been typed in, the language menu in the login dialog will automatically switch to the last language used by this user.

Thanks a lot for your quick response .
After changing DTSOURCEPROFILE=true,
error messages, menu and other messages are coming in new language, but all other ( man system log etc) outputs are coming in English .
can I change all to new language.

Man pages are only available for specific languages, what did you set LANG to? What is MANPATH set to?
syslog.log is probably only available for American Nerd, the C locale.
