Perl Install 5.8.7

I've downloaded Perl depot: perl-5.8.7-hppa-11.11.depot to install and also add in the DBD::Oracle module. When I try to install the perl depot it wants to put it into /usr/local/bin, can I get it to install in /opt/perl5-5.8.7 instead so I can have multiple copies ?

No - it was compiled to reside in /usr/local/bin....

Check out "Merijn's HP-UX software for ITRC members"

There are Perl builds there that go into /opt
