/usr/local/bin/bash "bash missing"
Hi All,
Good Day,
abc#uname -a
HP-UX abc B.11.31 U ia64 2547658085 unlimited-user license
Hardware: SD 16
abc#cd/usr/local/bin
abc#ll
total 0
During Oracle 11g r2 installation existance of bash failure under /usr/local/bin .....bash error is pointing ....
I appreciate your valuable input to solve this issue at the earliest

Oracle should NOT be using bash to install their product, at least not without telling you that you need to install it.
Instead they should be using the Posix shell.

HP-UX does NOT include the bash shell by default. The default shell for HP-UX is /usr/bin/sh, also known as the POSIX shell.
If Oracle is requiring BASH for installation, then this is just another example of them trying to sabotage their HP-UX customers!
