Re: How I can detect device ID in MSA p2000
Hello,
The second event message tells you which FRU has an issue.
enclosure: 2, slot: 2
The drive has a predictive failure error. The device IDs are reported as enclosure and slots in the event messages. In this case the device ID maps to enclosure 2 slot 2.
I would recoomend having a spare drive available for when that drive fails. You should also investigate whether the drive currently belongs in a vdisk and if it does assign that vdisk a spare so when the drive fails your vdisk can reconstruct to the spare drive.
Cheers,
Shawn

Re: How I can detect device ID in MSA p2000
Here Device ID represents one particular drive Phy position. In this case this is Enc 2 SLot 2 for which phy is 33
Don't try to figure out by drive position what will be the next phy position of any particular drive as there is one special table to decode it which is purely HPE internal information and can't be share in public place.
Hope this helps!
