ISCSI performance question

I know most of these questions go unanswered but I'm going to try anyway.

I have an HP DL380 G5 with a dual port 380T dedicated for ISCSI. This dual port NIC is connected to an MSA2012i.

Running sqlio, I get about 185 MB/SEC read and write with anything bigger than 4 spindles as long as I use the ISCSI initiator and have it control the NIC's, the second i turn to HP's network configuration utility and set it up to use accelerated ISCSI to offload the work ot the nic from the CPU my cpu load goes down as it should but my I/drops to about 160 MB/sed write and 120 MB/sec read.

Can anyone explain this?
