RedHat EL3 FC2214 Secure Path hangs
Running RHEL 3.0 AS with FC2214 HBA connecting to EVA with kernel 2.4.21-9.ELsmp. After installing Secure Path 3.0c if you run probe_luns -a, the server hangs until power reset with following message:
./probe_luns -a
Removing /proc/scsi/qla2300/1, target 2, LUN 32
Scanning /proc/scsi/qla2300/1, target 0, LUN 0Starting timer : 0 0
blk: queue c4816818, I/O limit 4294967295Mb (mask 0xffffffffffffffff)
We have tried the 2.4.21-4.ELsmp kernel with same results. Seems to work fine until Secure Path is installed. Data access on san is ok but Dataprotect backup provokes same error and hang. Any suggestions?

Re: RedHat EL3 FC2214 Secure Path hangs
I am quite sure that this is a known limitation that is documented somewhere, but I don't have any pointer handy right now, sorry.

Re: RedHat EL3 FC2214 Secure Path hangs
SecurePath is supported under RedHat AS. I don't think it doesn't work caused by a limitation. In my particular case, I've a DL380 G4 with RedHat AS version 3, and with 2 FC2214 HBA. Without SecurePath data access on SAN (MSA1000) is OK, but if I use SecurePath the system hangs, without any messages on logs...
