Update firmware on disk drive in MSA1000

Hi,

Wee need to upgrade firmware HPB3 to HPB4 on disk drive BF01885A34.

We have: Disk drive, installed in MSA1000 with 4.24 version of firmware. It is possible to insert this drive to standalone DS20 server.

The drive is mirror of system disk (RAID 1).

Which software we have to use to and where we can find it?

Hi,

Here is the download link for HPB4.

But to get latest fixes and features it is always recomended to have upto date firmware versions which is HPB8 for Drive: BF01885A34. You can update the controller firmware to the latest and then update the disk drives firmwares.

We have DS20E server with OpenVMS, and SmartStart7 bootable CD, but it is for Proliant servers.

The server does not recognize this CD as bootable.

What can you say?
