Re: What is the step to expand an existing virtual disk with mirrored clone?
I guess you have an EVA4/6/8K ?? You will need XCS V6.000 & command view V6.x to be able to create a mirrorclone. The mirrorclone is a function of the EVA code / system so the o/s that has the virtual disk presented to it dosn't matter.
To make a mirrorclone then first you must create a container of the same size of the disk you wish to mirror. Go to the "v disks" folder & select the tab "create container" to create a container. Fill in the fields as required. Once you have done that then you need to go to the virtual disk that you wish to mirrorclone and select the mirrorclone tab and then select the fields that you require. That's about it really.
You should also find the help files built into command view useful to give you additional information.
If it's not an EVA that you are talking about then you may wish to supply more information to your original question for another try at an answer.

Re: What is the step to expand an existing virtual disk with mirrored clone?
It is a EVA6K. We have the command line EVA.
My question may have been misunderstood.
We have a virtual disk that is already
presented on a Windows 2003 and our vendor
has already created a mirrored clone with
this virtual disk.
Now if we need to expand online the virtual disk that
already got a mirror clone, what should we do?
I assume we have to fracture
the mirror first..something like that but
not sure of the steps to expand the virtual disk.
