email throughput
My email throughput is too slow. It is multi-threading with 16 processes, but we are seeing
1200 emails per hour success, with 1300 AT&T timeouts. Any ideas on what we can do to improve performance? Do I need clone another mail server, or can I increase my performance on this box. Its an A180c running HP-UX 11.0 32-bit.

Re: email throughput
Do you have measureware/glance installed? If so then collect some statistics.
I'd cut down the number of threads to 8, and then shutdown all unnecessary processes like nfs, ems, ... The bottom line is that the fewer processes running the more cycles you can give to your email processes.
I'd then make sure my machine was up-to-date with patches. You should also consider replacing the A180c with another newer low-end server.
